All are invited to submit 2D art to GlobeMed at the University of Rochester's 3rd Annual Art Gala, “SAY SOMETHING”. The juried exhibition will be held the beginning of December 2014 to the end of January 2015, with a First Friday opening reception on December 5th.
This year, our theme is focused on advocacy. We’re giving you the freedom to design any masterpiece that speaks to you, for you and about you. What gets you excited? What do you wish you could change? What are you proud of? Speak to us; SAY SOMETHING!
Submissions are due on November 7th, 2014. EVERYONE is welcome to submit art.
Cost of submissions for community members is $15 for up to 3 art pieces.
Artists will receive a commission from any artwork sales; all other proceeds benefit the non-profit organization, Kallpa Iquitos in Peru. Kallpa works with youth groups to combat youth violence, drug use and teenage pregnancies, develop leadership skills through community workshops and provide educational resources to further collegiate-level education!
